Service Phonewatch / 12th Step Call List Who answers the phones when the Intergroup office is closed? Phonewatch does. A call to the Intergroup hotline is often the first contact a suffering alcoholic has with A.A., which is why it is essential to have a 24-hour service available to respond to calls for help. Intergroup has an organized schedule of volunteers to answer the A.A. hot line during the hours that the Intergroup office is closed. Feel like volunteering for 12th Step work, but you don't want to leave the house? Try Phonewatch! If you have at least one year of continuous sobriety, you can help carry the A.A. message at a certain time each month. Callers will not be given your phone number. Phonewatch is a great way to give back what you were so freely given. Call Intergroup at (804) 355-1212 or email phones(at)aarichmond.org. Volunteer for the 12th Step List This is vital service. If you can speak with a suffering alcoholic who reaches out for help and could offer a ride to a meeting, then your name belongs on the 12th Step Call List. Call Intergroup at (804) 355-1212 or email phones(at)aarichmond.org. |
